Wooden Boat

I love this sand colored fishing boat that I often see when I am running on the beach.

These palm trees are located in the middle of the beach with nothing else around them.

Beach Days II

Another picture from my beach day. The beach is dotted with lifeguard towers, however, in front of the main lifeguard station is this solitary chair. I don't know where the lifeguard was, but I'm sure he or she wasn't too far.

Beach Days

Today I took a vacation day from work and spent a little time at the beach. I snapped a couple of shots of the lifeguard station and then noticed this bit of lifeguard equipment in the sand. Turned out to be one of the best photos I took all day.

Robbery

The nightly news has been reporting that the LA area has been having a rash of restaurant robberies. As I was leaving the office for lunch yesterday, I noticed a news helicopter hovering overhead. I quickly spotted police cars surrounding the Denny's just down the street. I thought it was interesting that all of the blinds were drawn.

Tower of Mirrors

I drive past this office building every day on my way to work. I love the effect of the mirrored windows.

Trees in a Park

I was driving past this park at 7th and Park and loved the density of the trees.

Supermarket

I was waiting in line at the supermarket (Ralph's) last night and took this photo. So many things to tempt me and as usual, I spent more than was necessary.

Don't Fence Me In

I'm sorry that I've been unable to post for the past week or so. I took this photo with my new mobile phone just to see how well it worked. Not sure that I like the result...but...

This fenced in pasture is located right in the middle of a business district. I find that kind of funny to see the combination of rural life with urban life.
